Chattanooga Choo Choo announces $7 million renovation, new music venue, restaurants

Chattanooga Choo Choo officials announced today a $7 million restoration project that will add add two new restaurants and an additional 500 - person music venue.

In front of dozens of business leaders and after a brass band performed, Choo Choo officials announced construction is expected to start Friday and be complete in the Spring of 2015.

Of the restoration project, $1 million will be spent to renovate hotel rooms in Building No. 1.

The new music venue will be managed by Track 29, located near the Comedy Catch, which will be moving from its Brainerd location.
