Jed Bradley pitches, hits Huntsville Stars past Chattanooga Lookouts

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Jed Bradley pitched and batted the Huntsville Stars to a 2-0 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts in Southern League baseball Tuesday night.

Bradley allowed six hits and had six strikeouts in his six innings pitched, and his bases-loaded single in the bottom of the fifth brought in both runs. That made the first-half division champion Stars 65-44 for the Southern League season, while dropping Chattanooga to 39-68, 13-24 in the second half.

Scott Schebler had two of the Lookouts' six hits.

Game five of the five-game series is tonight at 7:30 EDT. Steve Smith (0-0, 10.80 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Brent Suter (9-8, 4.49) scheduled for the Stars.
