Alabama spiders focus of campfire talk - June 20

Park Ranger Mark Jackson will lead a presentation on common spiders of Northeast Alabama in a campfire talk Friday, June 20, at DeSoto State Park, 7104 DeSoto Parkway, NE, in Fort Payne. The all-ages program will begin at 8 p.m. CDT around the campfire ring at the park's Improved Campground (or inside the Nature Center in case of rain). Jackson will talk about how to differentiate between beneficial spiders and those that are harmful to humans. Admission is free. For more information, call 256-997-5025.
