Woman charged with murder in boyfriend's death

A Crossville, Tenn., woman suspected of shooting her ex-boyfriend to death has been charged with murder, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

A neighbor called 911 about 4:45 a.m. Friday to report gunshots at the home of 36-year-old Stephanie Cole. Cumberland County deputy sheriffs arrived to find Louis Michael Tammaro, 31, dead. They detained Cole and 13th Judicial District Attorney General Randy York asked the TBI to investigate, according to a news release.

TBI investigators discovered that Tammaro had recently moved out of the Ackia Drive home where he had lived at with Cole for several years, but the couple was reportedly trying to reconcile.

Agents charged Cole with one count of first-degree murder and she is being held without bond at the Cumberland County Jail pending a court appearance.


Robbery attempt ends in shooting

A man was shot in the leg late Friday in what police said may have been an attempted home invasion and robbery.

Chattanooga police were called to 7310 Standifer Gap Road about 9:30 p.m., where they found Brandon Langford, 33, with a gunshot wound to the leg. Langford's injury was not life-threatening and he was taken to Erlanger hospital for treatment, according to a police news release.

The only suspect information is that there were two assailants, both black males.

No suspects in Jasmine Street shooting

Chattanooga police said they have no suspects in an early morning shooting at 3920 Jasmine St.

Clarence Roberts, 21, was shot several times and is in critical condition at Erlanger, according to a news release.
