The Rant

Where is Saddam Hussein when you need him?

Do those folks calling for the impeachment of Obama really want Joe Biden as president?

Hillary Clinton, name one achievement during your public life. Belittling those who disagree with you doesn't count.

Eric Cantor defeated in Virginia primary. Can Lamar Alexander be far behind? Defeat those who claim to be conservative. Vote liberal.

Two hundred and fifty-plus dogs and only one count of cruelty to animals? That's a joke.

Chattanooga Whiskey was approved in Chattanooga to create jobs. It did Sunday morning -- jobs for policemen, magistrate, jailer, judge, prosecutor, criminal court clerk, etc.

Competence should be a requirement for holding public office. Have we learned nothing from the Obama administration? If not, vote for Rhonda Thurman.

The election has been over for weeks. Candidates, pick up your signs!

Bass Pro Shop: East Ridge leadership wants a pat on the back for doing something right. Maybe the next elections will bring some common sense.

Fix the Ridge Cut and fix the 75/24 split! We already have enough rural highways unneeded and unused!

As far as I am concerned, rounding up of bills is theft. And donating that to some group I do not support compounds the situation.

Bush (43) & Cheney thought it would be fun to "liberate" Iraq from Saddam's thumb even though they knew he was all that was keeping the Shiites and Iran in check. Thousands of American lives have been lost or ruined due to that arrogant invasion, and we're still seeing the result of that unnecessary and unfunded intervention.

As bad as Saddam was, he ruled Iraq in the only way that was possible - with an iron fist. He was a stabilizing factor in the Middle East and our brazen and impetuous removal of him, along with our complete destruction of that region, has made matters infinitely worse. He not only had no ties to al-Qaeda, he didn't even like them. But now al-Qaeda, along with whatever other terrorist organization crops up, has been empowered to set up shop and ply their trade. Anybody with even a speck of common sense knew beforehand that it was not only unjustified but downright stupid to invade Iraq.

What was that you said, Mr. Bush? Oh yeah... "Mission accomplished!" Yeah, right. Bush and Cheney and their entire gang of neo-con thugs should be thrown behind bars for life. And now we have newscasters with the audacity to have some of these jerks on their news shows, asking their opinions about what we should do in Iraq today! It's downright nauseating to see their evil, ugly mugs on TV, with those newscasters treating them like dignitaries worthy of respect.

Truly, one of the best rants I've seen.
