Robert Lee, a 29-year-old singer from Stevenson, Ala., gave a solid performance on Monday's episode of "The Voice," but the mail carrier just didn't deliver what the four judges were searching for.

Lee sang "The Weight," but no judges' chairs turned for him.

Coach Blake Shelton said Lee's sound was "too nasal" for him. Usher thought singing a Rob Thomas song would have been a better audition choice.

In the video of his back story, Lee said was hoping to make it onto the TV singing competition to help support his 7-year-old child from a first marriage and the twins he and his second wife are expecting now. He told viewers about playing gigs at night, delivering mail by day.

"I've played every dive bar on the East Coast and I feel it's led me to this level," he said.
