Scenic City Roots, the monthly, two-hour musical variety show that revives the legacy of live musical radio production, returns to Track 29 tonight, March 6.

Scheduled to perform are Birds With Fleas, Los Colognes, The Gibson Brothers and Dave Eggar & Deoro with the Craig Street Ramblers.

Birds With Fleas features smooth harmonies, banjo and ukulele in its brand of Americana music.

Los Colognes has built its sound around the individual members' vast record collections, which include works ranging from British rock band Dire Straits to rockabilly artist J.J. Cale, an originator of the Tulsa Sound.

The Gibson Brothers - Eric and Leigh - play traditional bluegrass music. They're known for skilled instrumentation and tight harmonies.

Eggar is a Grammy-nominated cellist based in New York who has recorded with The Who, Coldplay, Beyonce and Pearl Jam, among other notable acts. His band, Deoro, features Chuck Palmer on drums/percussion and Ariel DelaPortilla on bass. The Craig Street Ramblers are the folk/rock duo of Jacob Fields and Joshua Wingate, who have previously recorded and toured with Deoro.

Each Scenic City Roots show is broadcast live on the Internet and on radio at WPLZ-FM 106.9. It is also taped for future 30-minute broadcasts on WTCI-TV 45 public television at 9 p.m. each Thursday.
