Music teacher hosts master class Thursday

Fay Swadley Adams, associate professor of piano at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, will lead a master class open to all music teachers on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Crutcher Pianos, 6223 Lee Highway. Her appearance is sponsored by the Chattanooga Music Teachers Association.

Adams is also director of the Suzuki Piano School of Knoxville. She is a registered Suzuki piano teacher/trainer, has served on the Suzuki piano repertoire review committee and is a former member of the Suzuki Association board of directors.

In 1996, she was named the Tennessee Teacher of the Year by the Tennessee Music Teachers Association and has received the Outstanding Teacher Award from Tennessee Governor’s School. She is a Music Teachers National Association Foundation Fellow, former director of MTNA Southern Division and former member of the MTNA Board of Directors.

Reservations are not required for the master class.
