BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Gaining some breathing room with a big win from 165-pounder Corey Mock, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga won its 29th overall and fourth straight Southern Conference wrestling championship Saturday night at Campbell University.

UTC had three individual champions and gained at least four berths for the NCAA tournament. There is a possibility of adding one or two more to the contingent based on the latest coaches' rankings and RPI.

It was a tight race, the Mocs outscoring The Citadel by 11.5 points. UTC had 89, The Citadel 78.5, Campbell 54, Appalachian State 36, Gardner-Webb 32, SIU-Edwardsville 30.5, Davidson 29 and VMI 13.5

Mock's win came over top-seeded Turtogtokh Luvsandorj of The Citadel. Mock avenged a one-point regular-season loss to Luvsandorj with a dominating 7-1 decision.

While the two are listed No. 7 and No. 8 in the latest national rankings, Mock manhandled the conference's 2014 wrestler of the year with a three-point near fall in the second period, a third-period takedown and penalty points for stalling and unnecessary roughness plus one for riding time.

The win allowed the junior transfer from North Carolina to improve to 30-3.

The Mocs' other two finals wins were by injury default, giving titles to Nick Soto (133) and Levi Clemons (174). The other NCAA berth guaranteed went to Alex Hudson, a runner-up at 157.

Soto raised his record to 33-9 by winning his third league championship in as many years, Clemons is now 26-13 and Hudson is 30-7.
