Complete Eye Care offers patients plenty of options

The importance of good eye health is not to be overlooked. Just ask Dr. Jack Vontillius, O.D., at Complete Eye Care in Soddy-Daisy.

"Getting a yearly eye exam whether you've experienced any changes or problems or not is critical to the health of the eyes," Dr. Vontillius explained. "You should always take the preventive route rather than waiting until you notice problems."

As the leading optometrist for Complete Eye Care, Dr. Vontillius offers routine eye exams and is

able to diagnose many issues related to diabetes, glaucoma and cataracts. When it comes to cataract surgery and medical treatment, however, he makes all necessary referrals to Dr. J.D. Bonner. "He handles everything from the medical standpoint, so that I'm free to treat and care for routine eye conditions, including glasses and contact lens care," Dr. Vontillius said.

Dr. Vontillius joined the practice in July of last year after moving from another practice in Dayton, Tenn. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field and said he enjoys working with all patients and helping them maintain good eye health. He speaks German, allowing him to help even more patients.

Following a patient's eye exam, Dr. Vontillius is able to write prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses accordingly. Once that part of the process is complete, patients only need to go as far as the next room to visit Complete Eye Care's full optical shop for their lenses and frames.

"It really is 'Complete Eye Care' because we do everything in house," Dr. Vontillius said. Between Dr. Bonner meeting patients' medical needs, me helping maintain eye health and the optical shop filling prescriptions, we can do it all."

To name a few among the group's selection of frames, patients can expect to see Coach, Gucci, Silhouette, Costa and more. Contact lenses include top brands as well, such as Air Optix and Acuvue. For lenses for glasses, Complete Eye Care offers Crizal, Zeiss and more. Transition lenses are available, including the popular changeable polarized option called Transitions Vantage.

There truly is something for every need, from anti-reflective lenses to progressive lenses. Options for contacts are not to be overlooked either, with many choices from multi-focal for those with near vision to Air Optix for those with astigmatism.

Complete Eye accepts most insurances; including vision plans as well. Dr. Vontillius said the office has late hours during the week to help accommodate patients' schedules. Dr. Vontillius is available for late appointments on Mondays and Thursdays until 7 p.m., while Dr. Bonner is available Tuesdays for late appointments."We try to make sure there's always someone here to help," Dr. Vontillius said

Walk-ins are also welcome should a patient find himself or herself in an emergency situation, and patients are welcome to bring in their prescriptions to the group's optical shop to get them filled.
