Chattanooga launching 3 new photo speed reduction units Monday

The city will activate three new photo speed reduction units Monday at the following locations: 1100 block of Mountain Creek Road, 4600 block of Norcross Road and 200 block of Germantown Road. The three locations were selected because of their high level of speeding and accident rates.

The goal of the speed reduction initiative is to reduce accidents and improve the safety of our streets by encouraging safer driving speeds. Photo enforcement revenues fund traffic safety programs such as the City of Chattanooga Drivers Education Program.

More information regarding speed reduction and the Drivers Education Program can be found at chattanooga.gov/transportation.
