Chattanooga attorney Alan Dunn is going to be inducted into the South Athletic Conference Hall of Fame on June 5 in Asheville, N.C., along with longtime Carson-Newman softball coach Vickee Kazee-Hollifield, former Wingate basketball player Dr. Bradley Buckler and former Mars Hill football star Khalid Abdullah. Dunn, who works for the Hamilton County public defender's office, was a two-time All-America offensive lineman and SAC Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner and a three-time All-SAC first-teamer for Tusculum College. The former Boyd-Buchanan all-state lineman helped the Pioneers go 31-12 in 2000-03 and earn their first SAC title his senior season, after which he was honored as the most valuable offensive lineman in the NCAA Division II all-star game. He will be the fourth Tusculum inductee and second football player from the Greeneville, Tenn., school in the SAC Hall of Fame. Kazee-Hollifield is in her 29th season guiding the Lady Eagles and this season surpassed 1,000 wins, and the Carson-Newman softball stadium has been nicknamed "The Vick" in her honor.

• Longtime WGOW "SportTalk" co-host Scott "Quake" McMahen will be the guest speaker for the Chattanooga Quarterback Club's noon luncheon meeting Monday at Finley Stadium, and the public is invited. Attendance costs $10 with a meal, $4 without.

Golf

• The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's golf team is tied for sixth place out of 15 teams after Saturday's two rounds in the Linger Longer Invitational tournament at Eatonton, Ga. The Mocs are at 4-under-par 572 with Clemson and Liberty, one shot out of fifth and seven out of third. Top-ranked Alabama and No. 5 Georgia share the lead at 556. UTC's Ewan Scott is tied for 18th at 142, one shot better than teammate Liam Johnston, who opened with a 68. Stuart Thomas and Chris Robb are at 144 and 146 going into the final round on the Great Waters course.

Running

• Bronson Lee won the Dash for DS 5k on Saturday on the Tennessee Riverwalk in 19 minutes, 51 seconds, with Ean Caskey second in 19:58, one second ahead of Michael McDougal. Lisa Price was the women's winner and sixth overall in 23:01.

Swimming

• Sewanee senior Astrid Escobar ended her college swimming career with an 18th-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke Saturday at the NCAA Division III championship meet in Indianapolis. The three-time All-American was 23rd in the 100 breaststroke Friday. Both of her finishes led SAA competitors.

Lacrosse

• After scoring six goals in Mercer's first lacrosse match of the season, McCallie graduate Zack Ward has 19 with five assists in seven games. The senior had four, three and two goals in the Bears' last three matches. Former Blue Tornado goalie Patton Watkins had 11, 13, 12 and 10 saves for Tufts in stretching his season record to 4-1. Hofstra freshman Brier Davis from McCallie was the CAA rookie of the week earlier this month for five goals in two matches.

• Baylor Koch had four goals and an assist and Hobey Jiranek and Rory Devine each scored three goals while Michael Morris had five assists as the Sewanee men's lacrosse team beat visiting Oglethorpe 23-1 on Saturday. The Tigers (5-3, 2-0 SAA) took 71 shots.

Tennis

• Baylor School graduate Eric Roddy was in on both wins for the Sewanee men's tennis team in a 7-2 loss Saturday at Emory, which is ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division III. Roddy and Connor Winkler won 8-6 in doubles, and Roddy defeated Ian Wagner 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 at No. 4 singles.
