Suspect in Dalton nightclub killing arrested

The suspect in a fatal shooting at a Dalton, Ga., nightclub has been arrested.

20-year-old Orlando Ramirez was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. in Marietta, Ga., according to a news release from Dalton police.

Ramirez was wanted in connection with a double shooting at Las Delicias Bar at 511 E. Morris St. early Sunday morning. One person died at the scene. Another victim, 37-year-old Daniel Maldonado-Flores, is reportedly in stable condition.

Dalton police investigators developed leads that Ramirez was in Marietta at the Harmony Meadows apartment complex on South Cobb Drive. He was arrested by members of the US Marshals’ task force.

On Sunday night Dalton police arrested Juvencio Vega Garcia, 20, and Fernando Resendiz, 21, as accessories to the shooting. Police say the two were with Ramirez before, during, and after the incident. Both were charged with one count of homicide.
