10 businesses cited for selling alcohol to an under aged buyer

The Chattanooga Police Department said 10 of 18 businesses checked on Tuesday sold alcohol to an under-aged buyer and have been cited to appear before the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

The police department's regulatory bureau, Hamilton County Coalition and Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission conducted the compliance checks.

Businesses that a police department release said failed the check were Triple T's, 2801 Dodson Ave. (beer); Sandy's Liquor, 2410 Glass St. (liquor); C&S Market, 1520 Dodson Ave. (beer); Big K Liquor, 909 Dodson Ave. (liquor); Big K Market, 909 Dodson Ave. (beer); Citgo, 56901 Lee Highway (beer); Happy Mart, 5701 Brainerd Road #125 ( beer); Lamplight, 5032 Brainerd Road (liquor); Frank's Place, 601 Tunnel Blvd. (beer); and Kankus, 3440 Wilcox Blvd. (beer).
