On Tuesday evening a small plane, a 1940 Taylorcraft, crashed in Chattooga County, Ga., near the town of Menlo.

The plane was carrying two people, a pilot and a passenger, and crashed on the passenger's property, said Chattooga County Emergency Management Agency Director Eddie Henderson.

The passenger was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga., and the pilot was flown to Erlanger by Life Force, Henderson said.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be in the area Wednesday morning to begin their investigation.

No further information was available late Tuesday.
