Scott Schebler homered twice and Brian Cavazos-Galvez also homered as the Chattanooga Lookouts halted a five-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 5-3 victory over Huntsville at AT&T Field.

Cavazos-Galvez hit a two-run homer to left-center field in the fifth inning to give the Lookouts their first lead of the game at 4-3. The Stars built a 3-0 lead in the first two innings, when Chattanooga starting pitcher Andres Santiago allowed four singles and three walks, but the Lookouts got within 3-2 in the fourth inning on Schebler's two-run homer to right.

Schebler's solo homer to right in the eighth inning capped the scoring.

Santiago recovered from his turbulent first two innings to work a solid third and fourth innings before turning things over to Juan Noriega and Mike Thomas, who each worked two scoreless innings. Jaret Martin came on in the ninth and made things interesting by walking the first three batters but recovered to earn the save.

The Lookouts improved to 15-23 in the Southern League's first half but still trail the Stars (26-13) by 10 1/2 games entering this morning's 11:15 series finale at AT&T.
