Mobile BayBears beat Chattanooga Lookouts 4-0

MOBILE, Ala. - The Mobile BayBears opened their Southern League baseball series with a 4-0 Thursday night against the Chattanooga Lookouts, who had scored 17 runs in Wednesday's series finale at home against Huntsville.

Mobile took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on the strength of consecutive singles by Jake Lamb, Dustin Martin and Jon Griffin. Lamb doubled and scored in the fourth inning to make it 4-0.

The Lookouts (16-24) did get a 3-for-4 night from touted shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena, and O'Koyea Dickson was 2-for-4 with a double.

Game two of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Tyson Brummett (3-3, 0.83 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with A.J. Schugel (2-1, 3.06) scheduled for the BayBears.
