MOBILE, Ala. — David Peralta's single to right field in the eighth inning scored Tom Belza to give the Mobile BayBears a 4-3 lead Friday night that stood up for a second consecutive win over Chattanooga in Southern League baseball.
Mobile scored three runs in the first inning, opening with a Belza triple to right, a Gerson Montilla infield single, a Peralta single to right and a Dustin Martin double to right. The Lookouts (16-25) trailed 3-0 until the eighth, when Chris O'Brien hit a two-run double to left and scored on a Noel Cuevas single to center.
Game three of the five-game series in Mobile is tonight at 7:05 EDT. Chris Reed (3-2, 2.42 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Justin Fitzgerald (2-0, 6.35) listed for the BayBears.
