Mobile BayBears top Chattanooga Lookouts 5-4 on a walk

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile BayBears defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 5-4 in Southern League baseball Saturday with the winning run coming on a walk.

Jake Long drew a bases-loaded walk from Pedro Baez in the seventh inning to provide the 5-4 edge. Chattanooga had tied the game in the top of the inning on a leadoff home run to left field by O'Koyea Dickson.

The Lookouts (16-26) took a 2-0 lead when Jeremy Hazelbaker opened the fifth inning with a home run to right-center, but the BayBears scored four runs in the fifth on the strength of David Peralta's RBI double and Garrett Weber's two-run double.

Game four of the five-game series in Mobile is today at 3:05 EDT. Andres Santiago (0-0, 5.03 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Andrew Chafin (3-1, 2.06) listed for the BayBears.
