Body found floating in Nickajack Lake identified

The body found Saturday floating in Nickajack Lake near the U.S. Highway 41 bridge in Marion County has been identified as Shanna Leigh, 50, of Chickamauga, Ga., according to officials.

Sheriff Ronnie “Bo” Burnett said Leigh's black Chevrolet pickup was found near a boat ramp at nearby Marion County Park and the body was found floating by a fisherman early Saturday not far from the west end of the bridge.

No cause of death has been determined, Burnett said.

TBI officials said details were “very preliminary.”
