Administration full of scandals
The Luckovich cartoon on May 5 stated that the word Benghazi was used to express anger over the lack of actual Obama scandals. Well, scandal one is the lack of protection to an ambassador in an area known to be dangerous. England had taken its ambassador out of Benghazi. Next, we have the situation where the military was not permitted to come to the aid of our ambassador until it was too late. Third was the cover-up lying to the public about impromptu riots over a video. With mortars and RPG weapons. Really? If there was no scandal, just release all the emails. Obama promised a transparent administration, but we still do not know who was responsible for Eric Holder's gun-running operation. Then there is the IRS scandal targeting tea party groups. Lois Lerner would not testify. Why not if there was no scandal? Then there is the NSA checking all our phone records. I am sure this letter will find a slot in the NSA files. How about the waiting list for veterans getting health care? Hey, just let them die. These are just the scandals we know about.

My husband and I would like to thank all the nurses, technicians and workers at Erlanger's fourth-floor cardiac unit. My husband has been hospitalized twice within the past six weeks. He received two stents in late March, and one month later he had to have a pacemaker. Both times he was in the hospital, his treatment could not have been any better. The care and compassion he received was the very best. We want to thank all those who made a difference in his recovery. Happy Nurses Week. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the residents of District 7 for showing their overwhelming support of me in the Republican primary to be the next county commissioner. I am humbled by your support and confidence in my ability to lead our district forward, and I promise to remain focused on what matters most -- the people of District 7. For those who supported one of my opponents during the Republican primary election, I hope you will take time to learn more about my vision for our district and support my efforts to continue the conservative principles and values that Commissioner Larry Henry has brought to the County Commission during the past 12 years. As I move forward with my general election campaign, I will continue to visit with residents throughout our district, listen to their concerns and share my vision for addressing the growing needs in our public schools, tackling the economic growth and development issues facing our community, and advocating for public safety concerns in our district.
