Man arrested in traffic death

The driver of a vehicle involved in a December crash that killed the son of "Survivor" winner Tina Wesson has been arrested.

Braylon Davis, 20, was booked at the Hamilton County Jail Wednesday after a grand jury indicted him on charges of vehicular homicide by intoxication, reckless endangerment, minor in possession of alcohol and driving under the influence.

On Dec. 3 Davis ran off South Germantown Road and struck the wall of a garage. Taylor Lee Collins, 25, was riding in the front seat and died from head injuries suffered in the crash.

Davis is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court May 30.


Two men rob East Ridge store

Two men robbed East Ridge Hardware Store on Wednesday morning, store owner Jake Yoder said.

Yoder described the culprits as black men who left the scene in a black SUV. One was wearing a No. 25 jersey, he said.

The store is at 5337 Ringgold Road, and Yoder said East Ridge police responded quickly. Yoder said the store has multiple surveillance cameras that should help identify the suspects.
