Brent Lambert takes lead in East Ridge mayoral race

In the three-way race for East Ridge mayor, incumbent Mayor Brent Lambert leads with 2,010 votes.

Challenger and current Vice-Mayor Jim Bethune is in second with 1,334votes.

Non-council member but mover-and-shaker Frances Pope has 1,007 votes.

East Ridge voters have also passed all four of the city's amendments to the city charter.

City council candidates Larry Sewell (incumbent, 2,074 votes) and newcomer Jacky Cagle (1,479 votes) lead among the field of six.
