Good deed: Caring boys surprise ill neighbor by raking leaves

On a recent Saturday visit to my elderly, sick mother, Maxine Baker, I was pleasantly surprised to see two boys busy raking her leaves.

I assumed she knew who they were or possibly that they were from a youth group. They were simply doing a good deed for someone in need.

Payton Anthony attends Cleveland Middle School and Alex McCord attends Ocoee Middle School.

They came up with this idea on their own, which is even more amazing to me. They are to be commended for such an unselfish act. They were a bright spot in my mother's day as well as mine. Alex and Payton's families should be very proud of them. They've taught them well.

Thanks again to Alex and Payton for all their hard work.
