Special menu options at two restaurants support Grateful Gobbler Walk

Two local restaurants have created specialty menu options that will let residents support the mission of the Grateful Gobbler Walk while eating lunch or dinner.

Mount Vernon Restaurant, 3535 Broad St., has added Butter Pecan Praline Pie to its menu. The pie is $5 per slice, $25 for a whole pie.

Two Squares a Day, 3399 Amnicola Highway, has created the Grateful Gobbler Sandwich, combining sliced turkey with a homemade cranberry compote.

Through Wednesday, Nov. 26 , a portion of the proceeds from pie and sandwich sales will benefit the Grateful Gobbler Walk, which takes place Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, at 8 a.m. in Coolidge Park. All proceeds from the walk will help fund a new shelter for homeless families at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen on Eleventh Street.

Registration is open through the morning of the race at www.gratefulgobblerwalk.org.
