The Northshore Gallery of Contemporary Art will close by the end of the year.
In an email to customers, owner David Jones said he has had to subsidize the money-losing business for months. The gallery will shut down Dec. 20 and look for a new tenant.
"Since we own the building, we are kicking the gallery out in order to bring in a new, market-rate tenant," Jones said.
Jim Tucker, the gallery manager, is hosting a reception at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 for the final exhibition, "Curtain Call-Work by 13 Artists."
