For the 10th year, "The Polar Express 3D" will be shown during the holidays at the Tennessee Aquarium's Imax Theater, 201 Chestnut St.

The 2004 feature film, starring Tom Hanks in multiple voice roles, is based on the 1986 Caldecott Medal-winning book by Chris Van Allsburg. It centers on a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, putting him on a journey of self-discovery and showing him the power of believing.

Tickets are $12.95 for adults, $9.95 for children 3-12. An all-ages event called PJs and The Polar Express, scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, is a chance to meet the conductor, sip hot cocoa and munch on muffins; cost is $6 for aquarium members, $12 for nonmembers.

The film will run through Christmas Eve. Showtimes can be found at www.tnaqua.org, or call 800-262-0695.
