Police search for missing service dog in Arab Alabama

ARAB, Ala. - Police in the northern Alabama town of Arab are asking for the public's help to locate a missing service dog.

Police say Ace, a male German Shepherd, jumped out of a car Wednesday night in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart store.

Authorities say Ace was being transported to another state to be trained as a service dog for a 26-year-old woman who lost her arm in an auto accident.

WHNT-TV reports that Ace is mostly black with tan markings on his face. Arab officers and residents reported spotting Ace near Carver Circle.

Police were advising people who see the dog to be cautious around him, and to contact police.

Arab is about 30 miles south of Huntsville.0.
