As part of homecoming weekend at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, alumni of the Chattanooga Singers along with current and past members of the Chamber Singers will join voices for a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, at First Baptist Church in the Golden Gateway, 401 Gateway Ave.

The singers will be conducted by Dr. Kevin Ford, current UTC choral director, and former choral directors Roland Carter and Glenn Draper. Merry Lee Wilson will accompany the singers. The reunion concert is free, though donations will be accepted to help fund Music Department scholarships.

The hour-long concert will include favorites of Chattanooga Singers alumni such as four choruses from Handel's "Messiah," "Heavenly Light" and "Coventry Carol." Ford will conduct the Chamber Singers and its alumni in "O Magnum Mysterium" by Morten Lauridsen, "The White Birds" by Eric Barnum and Mark Hayes' arrangement of "Chattanooga Choo Choo."

Carter will lead the singers in his arrangement of "You Must Have That True Religion," and R. Nathaniel Dett's "Listen to the Lambs."

Ford says the Alumni Choir will rehearse from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, and starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
