Three arrested on drug charges in Jackson County

Jackson County officials arrested three people Thursday in relation to possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, controlled pharmaceutical pills and drug paraphernalia, according a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's office.

The search occurred at a residence on County Road 91 in the Hog Jaw Valley community. It was the result of a several-weeks-long effort effort by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, Patrol Division and Stevenson Police Department.

David Edward Payne, 49, of Stevenson, Ala.; Lisa Ann Wilson, 46, of Bryant, Ala.; and Stephanie Hibbett McCarver, 33, of Stevenson, Ala., were all arrested and charged with various offenses, including unlawful possession, distribution, and other charges. Additionally, McCarver had an outstanding arrest warrant for probation revocation for escape 1st degree.

Payne is in custody with bond set at $111,500. Wilson and McCarver are in custody, but bond has not yet been set for either of them.
