A weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for southeastern Marion County and southern Hamilton County.
A strong thunderstorm has been tracked near Jasper, moving east northeast at 35 mph. Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Locations impacted include Jasper, Chattanooga, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, Harrison, Collegedale, Walden, Ooltewah, East Brainerd, Middle Valley, Lakesite, Kimball, Ridgeside and Haletown.
