Caryville police are searching for school shooter Kenneth Bartley after he was involved in a domestic disturbance late Thursday night, Campbell County's Volunteer Times is reporting.

The Volunteer Times said Officer Brad Stephens and Assistant Police Chief Wes Byrge responded to a late-night call to Crutchfield Lane in Caryville, where Bartley allegedly had placed his mother in a chokehold. He fled the scene when police arrived, the paper reported, violating his probation.

Criminal Court Judge Shayne Sexton sentenced Bartley to a year on supervised probation as part of a Sept. 29 plea deal after he was charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest following two incidents at his father's home in June in July. Prosecutors dropped four other charges, including escape and assaulting officers.
