UPDATE: Woodlawn Apartments shooting victim identified

A 20-year-old man was shot to death last night at Woodlawn Apartments in Chattanooga, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The shooting happened at 2300 Wilson Street just before 11 p.m.

The victim, Apprentice Dequan Berry, was taken to a hospital where he died from multiple gunshot wounds, the release stated.

His body has been transported to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office.

Chattanooga police ask anyone with information to call 423-698-2525.
