A restored World War II B-17 "Flying Fortress" bomber featured in the movie "Memphis Belle" will be in Chattanooga on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Public flights will be offered between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., with ground tours following at Collegedale Municipal Airport's Main Terminal Building, 5100 Bess Moore Road.

During WWII, the B-17 saw service in every theater of operation but was operated primarily by the 8th Air Force in Europe. The Liberty Foundation now operates the bomber as part of a Salute to Veterans tour; 2014 marks the 71st anniversary of the Memphis Belle's last mission.

Flights are $410 for foundation members, $450 for nonmembers. Call 918-340-0243 to book a flight.
