Tarnoff talks Twain at Collegedale lecture - Oct. 24

Author Ben Tarnoff will present a free lecture on "Mark Twain and the Bohemians of the Far Western Frontier," at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in McKee Library on the campus of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win signed copies of the speaker's critically acclaimed books: "The Bohemians: Mark Twain and the San Francisco Writers Who Reinvented American Literature" and "A Counterfeiter's Paradise: The Wicked Lives and Surprising Adventures of Three Early American Moneymakers."

A 2007 summa cum laude graduate of Harvard University, Tarnoff also has written for The New York Times and The San Francisco Chronicle. His lecture is part of the annual celebration by the university's Center for the Study of 19th Century America.
