Jaime JorgeWorld-class violinist Jaime Jorge will perform music ranging from favorite hymns to contemporary praise songs in a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at Simpson United Methodist Church, 601 McFarland Ave., in Rossville.
Born in Cuba in 1970, Jorge began violin studies at age 5 and immigrated to the United States at age 10. Though he dreamed of becoming a missionary doctor, by his second year of medical school he felt God's call to leave medical school and devote his life to music ministry.
He has since recorded 17 albums and played in more than 40 countries.
