Southern Conference wrestling coaches pick Chattanooga as 2014-15 favorite

Southern Conference wrestling coaches have selected the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as the league's 2014-15 favorite.

The Mocs received seven of the eight first-place votes with the other going to Appalachian State. The Citadel is picked to finish second, followed by Appalachian, Gardner-Webb, SIU-Edwardsville, Davidson, VMI and Campbell.

The coaches also selected a preseason team on which three Mocs were selected: Nick Soto (133), Corey Mock (165) and Levi Clemons (174). All three are defending conference champions, and Soto will be trying for his fourth conference title.

Other members of the preseason squad were Dominic Parisi (125) and Dylan Cottrell (149) from ASU, Chris Vassar (141) of Gardner-Webb, Aaron Walker (157) and Marshall Haas (197) of The Citadel and Juan Adams of VMI (285).
