Movie proceeds to benefit Red Cross

"Meet the Mormons," a documentary that examines the diverse lives of six devout members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, opens Friday, Oct. 31, at Carmike East Ridge 18, 5080 South Terrace.

Proceeds from ticket sales to the movie (box-office sales minus distribution expenses) will be donated to the American Red Cross, according to Cindy Adamz with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chattanooga.

"We hope viewers will gain a greater understanding of the richness and diversity of our faith and that these stories will inspire people to live lives of faith and purpose," says Adamz.

The 78-minute film is rated PG. For more information about the movie, check its website at meetthemormons.com.
