Two students at Dade County High School are being charged with felony vandalism in regard to the wide-spread vandalism that occurred at their school this past Monday, Trenton Police Detective Tim Mitchell said.

18-year-old Timothy Ashley Sutton and 17-year-old Logan Blaine Haley were questioned after police received a tip from someone who recognized them in the surveillance footage of the crime. They confessed to the crimes during a police interview, and one suspect has already turned himself in to the jail. The other is expected to turn himself in before 5 p.m. today.

Mitchell said neither of the students has a previous criminal record.

"They've been some of our more well-behaved kids," he said.

Felony charges are expected to be pressed on both criminal interference with government property and second degree criminal damage. Both are considered adults under Georgia state law. If found guilty, they could serve more than a year in prison for each charge.
