Families can visit one of their favorite places together when the interactive learning experience that is Sesame Street Live stops in Chattanooga on Tuesday, Sept. 16. "Make a New Friend" will gather friends old and new for morning and evening shows at the Tivoli Theatre.

In this production, Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby and the rest of the gang welcome Chamki, Grover's friend from India, who is visiting for just one day. Together they explore the universal fun of friendship and celebrate cultural similarities, with singing, dancing and sharing cookies.

Grover has a long to-do list for his friend, from kayaking to hot yoga, but Chamki is busy snacking with Cookie Monster, singing with Abby Cadabby and doing "The Elmo Slide." Perhaps an appearance from Super Grover will get her attention.

Children will delight in the up-close and furry interactions with the Sesame Street friends on the audience floor. The Broadway-quality musical will appeal to adults with its high-tech stagecraft, cleverly written script and music parodies of songs such as "Hot N Cold" and "Moves Like Jagger."
