Police arrested a man Wednesday after he allegedly beat his girlfriend, dragged her down a flight of stairs and then briefly kidnapped her and her 18-month-old daughter.
Christopher Brown, 28, allegedly began beating his girlfriend while a friend was doing her hair in West Nashville. When the girlfriend ran into a nearby apartment, Brown kicked in the door and dragged her down the stairs and to his car, according to his arrest warrant.
Brown stuffed his girlfriend and her daughter in his car and drove away, the warrant said. While he was driving to his mother's home in North Nashville, Brown allegedly crashed his car and fled the wreckage on foot.
