A man was shot after a dispute outside of Apple Barrel Antique Shop at 1267 Steele Road in Rossville, Ga., about 10 a.m., according to witnesses.

Witnesses sat on the front porch of the Antique Shop and watched as two cars, a Monte Carlo and a four-door Honda, stopped on the road across from the Antique Shop and two black men began shouting expletives at each other.

Harold Hensley, owner of the Antique Shop, said that the victim was driving the Monte Carlo and got out of his car and went over towards the man who was in the passenger side of the Honda that a blonde woman was driving.

It appeared that the victim was shot in the abdomen, and he went to his car and quickly drove himself away, Hensley said. Police told Hensley that the victim drove to East Ridge Hospital and then was transferred to Erlanger.

The investigation is ongoing.
