Woman charged with slaying Knoxville man in Caryville

A 36-year-old woman was charged Monday with the slaying of a Knoxville man whose body was found last week at a Caryville residence.

Monica Leigh-Ann Briggs of Knoxville was charged with felony murder and premeditated first-degree murder, according to the Campbell County Sheriff's Office. Campbell County General Sessions Court Judge Amanda Sammons ordered Briggs held in lieu of $750,000 bond.

Briggs is accused of the slaying of Kenneth G. Koster, 45, of Knoxville, whose body was found Sept. 8 on property on Enix Lane.
