EmiSunshine & The Rain perform in hometown benefit concert Sunday - Sept. 21

EmiSunshine, a 10-year-old Americana/gospel artist from Madisonville, Tenn., will perform Sunday, Sept. 21, in a benefit for the Monroe Area Council for the Arts' arts-in-education programs and Hiwassee Performing Arts Center, the venue for the 3:30 p.m. show. HPAC is on the campus of Hiwassee College, 225 Hiwassee College Drive, Madisonville, Tenn. She and her band, The Rain (brother John on mandolin, daddy Randall on bass and uncle Bobby Hill on percussion) have appeared on "Today" and on the stages of the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry. She recorded her first two albums at age 7 and earlier this year released "Black Sunday 35." Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students, $10 for MACA season ticket subscribers.
