A car crashed into a large power pole near Dalton High School this morning, leaving power lines strewn across the road.
The accident happened at the top of a hill on Waugh Street.
Waugh Street is closed between Shugart Road and the western entrance to Manly Street and will be for most of the day, according to a news release from the Dalton Police Department.
The driver in the accident is expected to be okay. Dalton police say they suspect alcohol was involved.
