The Dalton Police Department arrested Antonio Cruz of 500 Barbara Ave. today at his home on charges of rape, aggravated stalking and aggravated assault.
A police news release said the alleged attack occurred at the nearby Byron Heights apartments on Byron Street. Police were called at 3 a.m. and Cruz was arrested shortly before 6.
The victim identified Cruz as the suspect and told investigators that Cruz had returned home where his three children were located.
This case is still being investigated by detectives.
