A Vanderbilt University student told campus police she was sexually assaulted in a residence hall last week, according to a notice sent to the school's students.
On Monday, university officials received a report from a female student who said she was assaulted by another male student while they were in his campus dorm room after 11 p.m. Friday, according to a security notice sent by the university.
A school spokeswoman confirmed the report and said Metro police was notified about the incident. She said no additional information could be provided about the incident.
