The lockdown has been lifted at McConnell Elementary School in Middle Valley and all schools have been given the go ahead to dismiss students, said Lee McDade, assistant superintendent of the school district.
McDade said he believes one subdivision is still under lockdown by law enforcement, and no busses will be allowed in that subdivision. He said students in that subdivision will be returned to the school to call their parents.
Hamilton County law enforcement and medical personnel are responding to a person shot call at 1922 Port Royal Drive in Lakesite - about two miles from the school. The call came in at about 1:30 p.m.
