However you describe your go-to wine - red, white, rosé, sweet, dry, sparkling - you're sure to find a taste to please your palate at Wine Over Water. Who knows, you might even find a new favorite. Multiple varietals from more than 100 world wineries will be poured Saturday, Sept. 27, as part of this premier wine-tasting festival.
Eleven local restaurants will have food available, and musicians will provide a soundtrack for mixing and mingling along the entire span of the Walnut Street Bridge.
Tickets are $70, with half of that amount tax-deductible. Proceeds benefit Cornerstones, a nonprofit historic preservation organization whose mission is to preserve the architectural heritage and urban fabric of Chattanooga.
Wine-tasting begins at 5 p.m., but ticketholders can begin checking in at 3:30 p.m. at the south gate of the bridge, 4:30 p.m. at the north gate. Festivities will conclude by 8 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased at www.wineover water.org; at 212 Market Restaurant, 212 Market St.; or FoodWorks, 205 Manufacturers Road.
