• Concept: Salons by JC provides space and brand value to wellness and beauty professionals without the overhead and time of building both. It will offer 34 individual lockable suites for lease in a central location, where customers can purchase a variety of services. Practitioners set their own prices and sell their choice of services and products, and keep 100 percent of the profits.
• History: Founded in 1998 by retail executives Jack Griffey and Cecil Miller, there are now 32 franchised locations across the U.S. and 28 new locations expected to open in the future.
• Scope: Salons by JC will feature a variety of licensed practitioners of cosmetology, aesthetics, nail care, hairstyling and barbering and provide services as diverse as weaves and extensions, chiropractic care, Botox injections, massage, eyelash extensions and spray tanning.
• Amenities: Free utilities, break rooms, security cameras, washers and dryers, free Wi-Fi, on-site facility manager, concierge service and 24/7 access to suites.
• Rent/Lease: Pricing is dependent on suite size and equipment provided. Weekly rent rates are available, and amenities are included.
• Schedule: Salons by JC at Northgate Mall is expected to open in early November. A grand opening is scheduled Nov. 10.
